This Privacy Policy relates to the raffle and/or to the Canucks Autism Network birthday contest. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we manage your information. By submitting your personal information to us, by registering for or participating in raffle and/or to the Canucks Autism Network birthday contest, you consent to our collecting, using and disclosing your personal information as set out in this Privacy Policy, as may be revised from time to time.

Meaning of Personal Information

“Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number.

Your Consent to Collection, Use and Disclosure

We collect, use and disclose your personal information with your consent or as permitted or required by law. Subject to applicable laws, your consent may be express or implied, depending on the circumstances and the sensitivity of the personal information in question. If you choose to provide personal information to us, we assume that you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in this privacy statement. Typically, we will seek your consent at the time your personal information is collected. Where we want to use your personal information for a purpose not previously identified to you at the time of collection, we will seek your consent prior to our use of such information for this new purpose. If you provide personal information about another individual to us, it is your responsibility to obtain the consent of that individual to enable us to collect, use and disclose his or her information as described in this privacy statement.

Examples of how we collect the information that is stored:

We primarily collect personal information from you in three ways:

  1. Information you provide to us
We ask for basic personal information from you to officially record your purchase on the website and ensure that you are eligible to participate in the raffle. This information is also required to ensure that purchases are legitimate, made by you and can be confirmed. We also ask for payment information, and transmit this basic information to record a purchase, but we do not store your payment card information. However, we do store confirmation of all purchases. By providing your information to us, you are creating a record of the information that we can then use to help you make future purchases as well as participate in any other of our campaigns. Should you have any questions about this account at a later date, we encourage you to contact us at privacy@splashdot.com.
  2. Automatically collected information
We collect some information automatically such as log information which can include your browser type, IP address, device identifiers, and a variety of other publicly available information. This allows us to better identify you should we need to obtain more information about a transaction you made, to comply with applicable laws, including your presence in British Columbia or to help troubleshoot issues you might encounter. Information about site usage is also stored to help us improve our offerings. We store your IP and geolocation information of said IP in order to verify that you meet eligibility requirements of the raffle as well as to perform statistical analysis. We utilize cookies, which are commonly used small text files stored on your computer. These cookies can help us facilitate your use of the site and protect against security issues.
  3. Information collected through other sources
We may also collect information from other parties that do not contain specific information about you, such as offered through Google Analytics. Sites such as Google provide anonymized information in order to help us better understand your experience with our site. This information is governed by Google’s privacy policy which can be found here. Our site also includes links to other sites, including social media features.
